The Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 face-lift has been uncovered in detail as production has already commenced at the car-maker’s Manesar plant. The new K10 will replace the ageing, last generation Alto K10- the sprightly little hatchback that rewarded enthusiasts with its gusty character.
The new Alto K10 will take the fight to the likes of the Hyundai Eon 1.0 and the Datsun Go, but this time around it is heavily based on the Alto800. The styling indicates a revised front fascia with new bumpers bearing fog lamps, bigger headlamps and an all-new grille running a thick chrome lip. At the back, one can spot re-tweaked tail lamp clusters and a bigger rear windscreen. The car will also benefit from beefier rubber and bigger wheels as compared to the puny ones on the Alto800.
Apart from that, the new Alto K10 will be launched in CNG fueled variants as well as AMT transmission equipped variants. So, it will be the only car from MSIL that will available in Petrol , CNG & AMT when it gets launched. Expect the same 998cc, K10B to do duty under the hood whipping up 67 bhp @ 6200 RPM of power and 90 Nm @ 3500 RPM or torque.
