The new Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 has been revealed in all its glory as Autocar India puts up their image gallery. The new Alto K10 will replace the ageing, last generation model- the enthusiastic little hatchback that rewarded enthusiasts with its gusty character. Maruti’s new AMT equipped baby will take the fight to the likes of the Hyundai Eon 1.0 and the Datsun Go, but this time around it is heavily based on the Alto800.
Stylistic updates come in the form of a revised front fascia with new bumpers bearing fog lamps(we’re guessing they’re optional), bigger headlamps and an all-new grille running a thick chrome lip.
The rear gets an all-new bumper, new tail-gate and slightly bigger tail lamps which are slightly pinched.
Bigger wheels and tires improve the stance, while the sides benefit from a blacked out B-pillar.
All-new dashboard design and layout looks refreshing and even funky.
The top-end variant gets a factory-fitted double-DIN audio system.
The new Automated Manual Transmission(AMT) is sure to widen the new Alto K10’s appeal.
Updated instrumentation is fuss-free and clear- also comes with a gear position indicator for the AMT.

The familiar 998cc, K10B, 4 cylinder unit does duty under the hood whipping up 67 bhp @ 6200 RPM of power and 90 Nm @ 3500 RPM or torque- given the weight, should be a sprightly performer.
Bigger rubber complimented by familiar wheel caps- no alloys.
The top-end VXi trims sports standard front power windows.
New front seats looks beefier and should offer reasonable levels of comfort.
