We really need to applaud Yamaha in keeping the 2015 Yamaha YZF-R1 a tight secret. In addition to a few unclear spy shots which haven’t rendered much clues on the motorcycle. The recent video teaser of the motorcycle being ridden around a track by none other than “The Doctor” Valentino Rossi who exclaims “She wants to go faster” and a shots of a full-colour digital dash with numerous acronyms relating to traction control, stability control, launch control, and ‘LIF’ (someone still needs to crack that abbreviation).
But whoooops…… it’s just a few hours left before it’s official unveiling- and motorcycle website BikeIT.gr has leaked images of the 2015 2015 Yamaha YZF-R1. Have a look!
Slated to be launched in two variants viz. a race tuned version to go alongwith the road going model. The race variant seems to take the 200 bhp+ battle ahead producing a meaty 230 bhp while the standard version would have a lower horsepower figure mark- though we assume it to be pretty close to the 200 bhp mark.
Stay tuned as in a few more hours, we will be bringing you the all the official images and details of the 2015 Yamaha YZF-R1. “The Beginning of a new Era” is Yamaha’s punchline- but would the Japanese manufacturer manage to reclaim its lost litre class glory with the new 2015 Yamaha R1?
