For 2015, BMW Motorrad will introduce a revamped version of its 798cc roadster motorcycle, the F800R. This upgrade will include cosmetic changes as well as performance bump for 2015. Moreover, after the update, the new F800R will get ABS as standard equipment. An optional package is also available that would add more safety net to the motorcycle in the form of Automatic Stability Control (ASC), Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA) and Tyre Pressure Control (RDC).
In terms of looks, the main difference that’s instantaneously noticeable is the revised single unit headlight as oppose to the outgoing model’s asymmetrical dual head lamp. The front cowl has been discarded for 2015. The tank and tank shrouds now receive a more compact and muscular design with sharper lines adding to the character of this roadster. The tail end however remains more or less the same. The wheels too now receive a newer updated design. Other features include an upside down suspension, LED turn indicators, intelligent luggage solutions and heated grips.
In terms of performance, the 2015 F800R will receive a performance bump of a meagre 3 hp over the outgoing model taking the overall engine power to 90 hp. Torque figure though, at 86Nm, remains the same. BMW has also shortened the first and second gear ratio for 2015.
