After the GO hatchback, Datsun, Nissan’s third global brand alongside Infiniti, is about to launch the GO+, India’s first compact MPV. Sticking true to the brand’s tagline of catering to the needs of the aspiring middle class families who are always on the move, this second product in their line-up is a sub-4 meter car which Datsun hopes will appeal to entry-level hatchback customers looking for that added space. The Datsun GO+ will only be available with a petrol engine and the manufacturer has no plans to add a diesel option in the line-up. Variants and features:
What takes you by surprise is that only the top-most variant of the Datsun GO+ comes equipped with a power steering. Datsun claims that the manual steering on the lower variants feels light without any additional assistance and at speeds above 8 kph, there is little perceptible difference between the powered and the non-power steering model. While Air-conditioning only comes standard with the higher two models, power windows are only reserved for the top most ‘T’ variant.
